At Happy Tails Pottery, I create handcrafted pieces that honor the deep bonds we share with our pets and the quiet beauty of the natural world. Whether it’s a curled-up cat figure, a leaf-shaped dish, or a floral-topped jar, each piece is made to hold the spirit of connection—offering comfort, joy, and a touch of everyday magic.

My name is Katherine. This shop grew from my own journey of love, loss, and healing. After my beloved cat Robo passed in July 2022, and my other cat Sparky survived heart failure in early 2025, I felt an urge to capture them through clay. Thankfully, Sparky is thriving with ongoing care—and along with my two other cats, Finn and Luna, they continue to be my daily muses and sources of inspiration.

Nature is another grounding influence in my work—its textures, colors, and stillness speak deeply to me. Whether it’s the curve of a leaf, the hush of a forest, or the soft gaze of a pet, I try to shape those feelings into clay.

I especially love creating custom cat and pet figures, weaving their spirit into mugs, trays, and keepsake dishes. These pieces are meant to bring comfort in times of grief, or simply celebrate the unique love we share with our animal companions.

Each piece is crafted with simplicity, warmth, and a touch of playfulness. You’ll find soft, organic forms, calming glazes, and quiet animal motifs—inviting a little more comfort and beauty into everyday life.

The name Happy Tails comes from one of the most joyful sights in my day: when my cats walk toward me with their tails held high, full of trust and affection. Those moments light a spark in my heart—a reminder of connection, presence, and the everyday wonder that inspires me to create. Happy Tails Pottery is a tribute to that feeling, and to the deep love our animal companions bring into our lives.
